All courses require an in date CBT certificate and a passed theory test.
The 125 restricted, or "A1" motorcycle training course is designed to prepare candidates for their motorcycle practical test on a bike of between 121cc and 125cc and capable of at least 62.5mph.
This category of licence restricts the rider to 125cc machines. You may, when both modules have been completed, ride without L plates, carry passengers and ride on motorways.
To ride a larger machine, you need to be 19 or over, and pass the two modules again on the larger class of bike.
Please read our Frequently Asked Questions for things you will need and what to bring on the day!
Prices >The "A2" restricted category enables the rider on completion of both modules, to ride a machine of larger capacity, but with a restriction of engine output to no greater
than 47 bhp. You may restrict a machine of larger capacity to meet the 47 bhp maximum power, but do not restrict more than half of the larger bikes power, (i.e. no greater than 94 bhp).
The rider will be required to have the full A2 licence for a period of two years before qualifying for a larger machine test, or reach the age of 24, whichever comes first.
Then two module tests will be taken again to access a full unrestricted motorcycle licence. The automatic upgrade to big bikes after two years no longer applies.

Prices >The Direct Access Scheme (D.A.S.) is designed for riders over 24 years of age; riders who wish to ride bikes of unlimited size and power.
This will involve taking two module tests on a machine of a minimum capacity of 599cc.
